International Night at the Museum

The next International Night is soon! Introducing Marisol Valles and her dance school, the group will perform various Day of the Dead dances throughout the evening. Other activities include sugar skulls and face painting, a small exhibit highlighting Mexican tack and other artifacts, and more. Save the date for November 2 and join us for this exciting final Night of the season!

Annual Cemetery Crawl

New this year is a walking equine tour to accompany our annual Cemetery Crawl. This tour will focus on equine residents of the park lands, the Thoroughbred and Standardbred horse industries of past and present, as well as burial practices for horses and their roles in death practices through history. The museum staff have been working on a temporary exhibit and will showcase artifacts that most people have not seen before. Stops on this tour will include Man o’ War’s gravesite, a mid-century cemetery for Walnut Hall Stud, and the Hall of Champions.
