Admission to the International Museum of the Horse is included with your KY Horse Park admission.

The Kentucky Horse Park offers a 50% discount on general park admission to those who have performed (or are currently performing) military service. Employees of the state of Kentucky receive a 20% discount on general park admission. Seniors 62+ are eligible for general park admission at the current group rate. Must show proper ID. These and other promotional discounts must be presented at the time of ticket purchase. Only one discount per transaction.

  • Weekly Rate - $15.00 (vehicle may leave and reenter freely during this period)


  • Food and drinks are not allowed within the museum. Visitors may leave them at the docent desk in the lobby. There are water fountains located near the restrooms as well.
  • The museum is an exciting place to learn, but please keep all of your foals and yearlings in sight and minimize the horse play.
  • Please do not use motorized wheelchairs in temporary galleries. The Visitor’s Center has wheelchairs available upon request.
  • Pets are allowed in the lobby of the museum but not within the exhibit spaces.
  • Photography and video is allowed within the permanent exhibits for personal use only; however, no photography is allowed in the William G. Kenton changing gallery. Tripods, standing lights, etc. are not permitted.
  • The museum is kept cool in order to care for the artifacts properly. Please plan accordingly.
